A Pretty George III oak cased 'Cottage' longcase clock.c.1780. Early painted dial with cockerel to the centre and decorative spandrels to the corners. Thirty hour movement striking on a bell to the hour. Made by Edward Glase of Bridgenorth (w.1770-1807). Moulded cornice and turned pillars to the hood. Shaped door to the case. Superb mid oak colour. Stands 80"high. Full working order.
