A superbly painted large oil on canvas by Antoine Bouvard Senior (1870 - 1956).  Superbly detailed with a deep blue skies typical of the French born artists greatly admired and sought after scenes of Venice. Pained to depict a late afternoon with still waters and single gondola sailing down the centre; the painting gives the feeling of a warm glow on a summers day.
