A large superior quality Victorian dished brass cased skeletonised marine barometer by Lennie of Edinburgh, fully serviced and working c.1885. Polished dished brass case with hanging loop to the top and visible skeletonised movement set to the centre of the case. Porcelain dial sat around the outer edge with weather predictions and the makers name Lennie, 46 Princes St, Edinburgh (trading at this address between 1857-1900). Glazed bevelled edge glass view window set in a polished brass bezel with reading marker to the centre of the window. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine to the case, fully serviced and working. Measures 6.5" diameter x 7.25" high including hanging loop x 2" deep. Stock number 42694.
