Description

A quality pure wool Persian 'Shiraz' rug from the South West area of Persia in superb unworn condition, newly cleaned ready for use c.1950. The hand knotted pure wool pile with a soft red ground with navy blue geometric medallion to the centre section with interlinked geometric floral design decoration sat around the edge. Navy blue surround to the central design with triple border to the outer edge and navy blue background to the wider centre border, which is decorated to complement the centre.
