A superb quality pure wool Persian 'Shiraz' rug from the South West area of Persia in superb condition, newly cleaned ready for use c.1950. The hand knotted pure wool tufted pile with a soft red ground with contrasting navy blue geometric medallion to the centre section and interlinked geometric floral design decoration sat around the edge. Champagne cream and red insets to the corners with triple border to the outer edge and navy blue background to the central strip.
