An original RAF 14" dial single fusee movement by Elliott in original condition with provenance c.1941. The solid mahogany case with moulded surround to the dial and matching back box with tenon joints. Access door to the base and side, for securing pegs set to the sides for removing the front. Cast brass bezel with glazed view window forming the door, the original painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands along with the RAF insignia to the upper half of the dial. The high quality 8 day single fusee movement with original chain drive and anchor escapement; bears the makers name Elliott, London along with serial number and 1941 manufacture date. Fully serviced and working, presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 18" diameter x 6.5" deep x 14" dial. Stock number 38257.
