A Victorian polished walnut aneroid barometer made by Aitchinson of London & Leeds c.1890. Porcelain dial with visible works to the centre and bearing the maker's name, Aitchinson & Co of London & Leeds (w.1870-1900). Cast brass bezel surround with thick bevelled edge glass inset and centre reading marker. Finely carved leaf decoration to the solid walnut case with brass hanging plate. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep polish to the case, fully serviced and working.  Measures 7.5" diameter x 2.25" deep x 8.5" high. Stock number 40475.
