Description

A superb quality antique Persian pure wool hand knotted runner in excellent newly cleaned condition c.1930. The close deep hand knotted pile with rich dark terracotta pink background.  A central lighter medallion is surrounded by a border of dark blue ground, all with geometric floral and leaf design sprays in tones of champagne, pinks and blues. The rug edge border with lighter ground and repeat geometric decoration; the design typical of the Hamadan area of Persia. Presented in slightly worn stain free condition, newly cleaned ready for use.
