Description

A quality antique Persian pure wool hand knotted rug, in superb unworn newly cleaned condition c.1900. Three linked diamond shaped medallions to the centre with a dark blue background and geometric patterns including flower, leaf and bird motifs.  The medallions are surrounded by complementing decoration on a dark red background. Broad triple border to the outer edge in champagne, blue and red tones. The pile in excellent unworn stain free condition, newly cleaned ready for use. Measures 73.5" long x 56" wide.
