A fine quality George III period solid silver desk stand with the original Bristol blue glass silver topped pounce pots, hallmarked London 1775. Fretted gallery forming the sides and the internal divisions with removable silver base, which includes a country house crest, and small claw and ball feet to the corners. Original matching faceted Bristol blue based pounce pots sat to the rear corners with matching engraved and fretted lids. Clear hallmarks to all sections and bears the makers mark for London silversmith Burrage Davenport; who specialised in making exceptional fretwork cake baskets and ink stands. A fine quality and superbly made piece with lovely detail throughout, presented in immaculate condition with perfect glassware. Measures 6.75" wide x 3.5" deep x 2" high to top of sides or 2.5" to top of pounce pots. Stock number 43198.
