A set of Regency serpentine fronted birds eye maple and walnut crossbanded chest of drawers with original splayed bracket feet and swept apron to the base c.1830. The birds eye maple veneered top with walnut crossbanded edges, sat over the four graduated serpentine fronted drawers; each drawer with matching burr veneers, cockbead edges and original brass fittings. The framework between the drawers with walnut veneers giving a crossbanded effect. Original swept apron to the front with splayed bracket feet below and matching feet repeated to the rear. Birds eye maple veneered sides with walnut banding giving a two panel effect. Superbly proportioned and excellent quality, presented in superb condition with a rich colour and polish. Measures 38" wide x 19.5" maximum depth x 35.5" high. Stock number 43278.
