A superbly detailed rare matching pair of silver chick pin cushions by collected maker Sampson Mordan, both hallmarked Chester 1925. The solid silver base formed in the style of a sitting chicks newly hatching from the eggs with superb embossed and engraved detailed decoration; each chick in a slightly different pose. The back of the chicks inset with the original pad forming the pin cushion. Each bears the makers mark and register number for highly regarded and collected maker Sampson Mordan along with clear hallmarks to all sections. A rare matching pair, both presented in good condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.25" long x 0.75" wide x 0.75" high. Stock number 40288.
