12 Foot Persian Pure Wool Runner Rug

An immaculate top quality 12 foot long Persian pure wool hand knotted runner in newly cleaned stain free condition c.1920. The hand knotted deep and close pile with dark red ground decorated with an interlocking geometric floral design in tones of blue, gold and champagne; design and colours typical of the Hamadan area of Persia.  Bordered edge with strips of flowing geometric decoration in pale pink.
