A very colourful deep red Persian pure wool hand knotted rug from the Nahavand area of North West Persia, in superb unworn newly cleaned condition c.1920. Deep red ground to the centre with an interlinked geometric floral design in bright blues, pinks and terracotta tones. Broad dark blue border to the outer edge with matching decoration flanked by two smaller geometric design borders. Deep close hand knotted pile in excellent unworn stain free condition, newly cleaned ready for use. Measures 72" long x 45" wide. Stock number 42044.
