A Victorian antique superior quality gilt brass pocket barometer with compass and crescent thermometer to the dial. c.1900. Engraved silvered dial with small compass to the centre with mercury action crescent thermometer below. Adjustable outer dial edge to compensate feet above sea level. Bears the makers mark for Robson Newcastle on Tyne. Original water gilt finish to the brass case with hanging loop to the top. Presented on a walnut oval based stand with polished brass hanging arm. Barometer measures 2" diameter x 0.85" deep. Stand measures 3.25" wide x 2" deep x 4" high.
