An antique Persian pure wool rug from the Abadeh area, with rich colours and close unworn pile c.1900. Soft red background with geometric medallion to the centre, surrounded by soft and dark blue geometric decoration to the rest of the rug along with apple green highlights. Pale blue border to the inner edge with a complementing geometric outer border. Blue whipped edge and tassel fringe to each end. Superb quality and condition with a deep pile and unfaded colours.
