An Impressive Late Victorian antique polished oak banjo barometer.c.1890. Made by Henry Hughes & Son of Fenchurch Street, London (w.1876-1900). Porcelain dial bearing the maker's name. Brass bezel surround with bevelled edge glass and centre reading maker pointer. Matching porcelain thermometer scale above with mercury action thermometer. Carved decoration to the case with arched top pediment and shaped base. Full working order. Superb quality and condition. Measures 12" x 3"deep x 37"long. Stock no.36387.
