A fine quality and stylish walnut Art Deco banjo barometer with silvered scales and rosewood crossbanded edges c.1930. The walnut veneered case fashioned in the angular Art Deco style with rosewood crossbanded edges and surround to the dial. Applied fanned decoration in ebony, mahogany and fruitwood to the base and top of the case. Square silvered dial to the aneroid movement sat behind a bevelled edge glass, set in a chrome bezel; matching scale to the mercury action thermometer.
