Art Nouveau Brass Coal Scuttle
A stylish Art Nouveau solid brass coal scuttle with embossed decoration c.1890. The tall scuttle tappering inwards towards the angled rim at the top forming a lip at the front edge, keyed seem to the rear and embossed decoration in the Art Nouveau style to the front. Long brass loop handle for carrying to the top, held in place by cast brass fittings to the sides, small cast handle to the rear to aid use when loadingthe fire with coal. Superbly made in heavy gauge brass and presented in immaculate condition ready for use. Dimensions quoted are with carrying handle down.
