A stylish Art Nouveau tulip design lidded jug by Staffordshire metalware maker Joseph Sankey c.1900. The solid brass jug with tapering form, embossed with a continuous band of tulips in the Art Nouveau style. A cast brass angular handle to the side with hinge to the top holding the domed lid decorated to match the sides; spout to the opposite side. Bears the makers mark for Staffordshire metalware manufacturers Joseph Sankey to the base, specialist in Art Nouveau design items. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine.
