A stylish superior quality early Victorian burr yew and elm high back Windsor chair c.1840. The bentwood back and arm support in burr yew with fretted centre splat and railed back. Bell shaped seat with ruled edge, well turned legs to the base supported by a crinoline stretcher. Wonderful original mellow colour and rich patina throughout, very sturdy and useable. Measures 23.5" wide x 19" deep x 41" high to top of the back x 19" seat height. Stock number 38475.
