A stylish Edwardian Chinoiserie decorated 8 day mantle clock in superb original condition c.1900. The shallow proportioned case with bell top, brass carrying handle set to the top. Moulded cornice above the door and broad plinth to the base with small brass bun feet below. The Jappaned case decorated with Chinoiserie decoration and gilt relief to the top, front and sides. Engraved brass and silvered dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands sat behind a hinged glazed door. The French 8 day duration movement with platform escapement, fully serviced and working. Presented in excellent or...iginal condition with a rich polish.
