An early Moorcroft Anemone salt glazed vase, signed William Moorcroft c.1930. Baluster shape with slightly flared rim to the top, the shoulders of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined anemones set against foliage. The foot of the vase washed in royal blue fading into white at the rim and the flowers decorated in tones of soft pink and ink blue set against green foliage. The salt glaze finish in superb blemish free condition. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1928-36. Presented in immaculate perfect unrestored condition.  Measures 4" maximum diameter x 3" diameter at the base x 6.5" high. Stock number 42885.
