Early Carved Panel Coffer
A superb George I period oak six plank coffer with three carved front panels c.1715. Single plank top with scalloped carved edge, six plank construction with three panels to the front, stop moulded frame and diamond carved panels; carved top rail with original iron lock plate. Solid sides forming the foot and original hand sawn back board. The hinged lid opening to real an original clean interior. Superb original rich colour and patina. Measures 44" long x 15" deep x 24.5" high. Stock number 37989.
