An Early Georgian period oak cased 8 Day longcase clock.c.1730. Made by Blackburn of Oakham. 10" brass engraved dial with single pointer. Gilt spandrels to the corners, half hour markers and inner chapter ring. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Slim proportioned case with attached pillars to the moulded cornice hood. Fretwork panel to the top and original finials. Superb colour and graining to the case. Full working order. Rare early 8 Day clock. Measures 15" x 8.5" x 80"high. Stock no.32399.
