Early Moorcroft Anemone Flambe Vase
A superb early Moorcroft Anemone flambe glazed vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1928. Baluster shaped vessel with narrow, slightly flared neck, the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined anemones set against foliage. The flowers painted in tones of reds, pinks and deep yellow with orange. The background washed in blue, which is under a rich flambe glaze giving off tones of browns and reds fading to a blue at the foot. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with Moorcroft factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1928-1936. Presented in imma...culate perfect condition with no damage or repairs.
