Early Moorcroft Anemone Flambe Vase
A superb early Moorcroft Anemone flambe glazed vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1928. Baluster shaped vessel with a narrow slightly flared neck. The vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined anemones set against foliage with the flowers painted in tones of reds, pinks and deep yellow with orange. The background washed in blue, which is under a rich flambe glaze giving off tones of browns and reds fading to a blue at the foot. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with Moorcroft factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1928-1936. Presen...ted in immaculate perfect condition with no damage or repairs.
