A top quality early Victorian cast brass and iron country house door stop in the form of a stag in woodland. C.1850. Polished cast brass decorative front depicting a stag stood in woodland, the handle in the form of entwined leaves forming a carry handle to the top. Sat on a heavy cast iron base which returns around the back. Superb condition with a deep shine, very heavy. Measures 7.25" at the base x 3.25" deep at the base x 16" maximum height.
