An Early Victorian rosewood ladies sewing, jewel and writing casket.c.1850. Domed top with mother of pearl decoration to the opening front. Lift up top revealing the original leather fitted needlework compartments. Three drawers below for sewing, jewellery and writing to the base. Complete with small writing slope, inkwells and pen tray. Carry handles to the sides. Superb rich colour and patina. Measures 11.5" x 8"deep x 13.5"high.
