A fine quality early Victorian solid silver mug with embossed decoration depicting pheasants in a woodland setting, hallmarked London 1839. Circular form with flared rim and bellied base and small flared foot below. The sides of the mug embossed with a superbly detailed scene depicting pheasants set amongst a woodland setting with complementing engraving to the foot. Scroll design handle set to the side with engraved thumb rest and immaculate gilt lined interior. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Charles Gordon along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate condition and wei...ghing over 4.75 troy oz. Measures 4.25" wide including handle x 3" diameter at rim x 4" high.
