An early Victorian cast silver sword letter opener, hallmarked London 1859. The cast silver handle with hanging loop to the top and acanthus leaf design decoration along with complimenting scrole design decoration to the hilt. The face of the angled tappering blade with engraved decoration the upper half and polished finish to the rear. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith William Phillips, along with clear hallmarks. Beautifully made and presented in immaculate condition.
