Edwardian Carved Oak and Silver Plated Biscuit Barrel
An Edwardian carved solid oak biscuit barrel with silver plated fittings and label to the lid c.1910. Turned solid oak barrel with carved oak leaf design decoration. A silver plated rim to the top of the barrel with inset lid, which includes a swing carry handle sat over the top. The lid with decorative handle in the form of a ball of string and label, which is engraved 'Biscuits'; all in matching silver plate. The lid removing to reveal an immaculate white porcelain lined interior. Presented in immaculate perfect condition with a rich polish to the base. Measures 5.5" diame...ter x 5.5" high to top of rim or 9" high to top of handle when raised. Stock number 42877.
