An impressive Edwardian solid mahogany inlaid mantle clock with decorative brass fittings and French 8 day movement c.1910. The figured timber solid mahogany case with arched top with moulded front edge forming a cornice, moulding to the waist, flared base below with moulded edge to the foot. Superb quality inlaid swags to the front and chequered stringing to the edges. Brass axe drop handles to the sides and small matching polished brass bun feet to the base. Paris made movement with platform escapement sat behind a convex porcelain dial with Arabic numerals, matching glass sat over mounte...d in a polished brass bezel. Fully overhauled and working, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 8.5" wide x 3.25" deep x 8.5" high. Stock number 39024.
