An immaculate Edwardian silver topped ink well with pocket watch holder to the lid and cut crystal base, hallmarked Birmingham 1901. The square crystal base with faceted corners and hobnail cut base. Silver rim above with hinged lid, the slightly domed lid with engine turned edge bayonet locking top. The cover of the lid unlocking to allow the pocket watch to be placed inside. The lid opening to display the face of the watch in the top of the lid with the opening of the ink well below. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths and silver mount specialist John Grinsell & Son...s along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and with perfect crystal ware. Measures 3" Square at the base x 3" high. Stock number 35672.
