A superior quality Edwardian period solid silver tea caddy with hinged lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1903. The base with inverted bowed sides and clipped corners; rope design boarder to the edge. The flared sides with matching canted corners mirroring the design of the base, oval rim with decoration to match the foot. Hinged opening lid to the top, the centre rising to meet the acorn finial handle. Opens to reveal a clean interior. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmith Charles Horner. Heavy quality and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.5" wide x 3" deep x... 4.25" high. Stock number 38431.
