A rare Edwardian brass cased marine barometer made for the U.S signal service c.1900. The dished brass case with hanging loop to the top and matching brass bezel to the front. Skeletonised rapid indicating aneroid movement with porcelain dial set around the outer edge, marked British made and 'U.S signal service' to the bottom half of the dial (U.S signal service is a branch of the United States army that controls communication and information services). Quarter plate bevelled edge glass to the front with central reading marker. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine,... fully serviced and working. Measures 5.25" diameter x 6.75" high including hanging loop x 2.25" deep. Stock number 39619.
