Edwardian Walnut Cased G.P.O. Dial Clock

An Edwardian walnut cased 8 day 12" G.P.O. English dial clock in superb original condition, fully serviced and working c.1910.  Slender turned walnut surround sat around the dial with matching walnut back box, original securing pegs to either side.  The original 12" painted dial with Roman numerals and G.P.O mark to the centre. Polished hinged brass bezel with original glass and catch release forming the door.  8 day platform escapement movement bearing the makers name Astral, England.  A short video of the working clock mechanism can be viewed on ....  G.P.O serial numbers stamped to both sections of the case.  Presented in excellent original condition with a rich polish, fully serviced and working. Measures 15" diameter overall x 12" dial x 4.5" deep.  Stock number 40217.
