A quality late Victorian engraved silver cigar case, hallmarked Birmingham 1897. The omed double sided silver case with fine quality chased decoration and engraving on both sides with central blank polished cartouche to the front. Sprung lid with clasp to aid opening and opens to reveal a clean gilt lined interior. Bears themakers mark for Birmingham silversmith Harry Hayes along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Weighing over 5.3 troy oz, an unusual model, the casebeing free of ridges to hold the cigars in place. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine
