A superb slim proportioned George II period oak longcase clock by Abraham Fell of Ulverston in fully restored and working condition c.1740. The oak case with slim narrow trunk, caddy top with pilasters forming part of the hood door and sound fret below. Moulded plinth to the base of the trunk with small bracket feet below. Brass dial with engraved and matted centre, dummy winding holes and date aperture. Engraved silvered chapter ring and gilt brass four seasons spandrels to the corners. Presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and patina to the case, the original movement fully overhauled and working.
