A Fine Late 19th Century antique oil on board by French artist, Eugene Henre Cauchois(1850-1911). 'Still life with Fruit'. Signed to the lower right with inscription to the reverse. Apples and pears in a basket. Very well painted. Sat in a good timber gilt swept frame. Measures 22.5" x 20.5"high x 2"deep, painting measures 15" x 13". Stock no.33211. Cauchois studied under Duboc and Cabanel. He first exhibited at the Paris salon in 1874 and then at the Societe des Artistes Francais from 1890. In 1898 he obtained a third class medal, followed by a bronze medal in 1900 and a second class medal... in 1904. Exhibited: The Paris Salon. Museums: Louviers, Perpignan and Rouen.
