A Fine Mid Georgian oak and mahogany cross banded 8 Day Manchester longcase clock.c.1760. Brass and silvered dial with date aperture and seconds count to the engraved centre. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Made by James Sandiford (w.1725-75). Shaped top to the door case flanked by quarter turned columns. Moulded cornice hood with fretwork to the top. Canted corners to the base. Superb mid oak colour and patina. Fully overhauled. Stands 81"high.
