A fine early Victorian timer and gesso gilt mirror by Charles Nosotti C.1860. Moulded oval frame with beaded adge and raised decorative moulding. Original decorative pediment to the top with bellflower and leaf decoration bellow a ribbon bow to the top. Complimenting scrole work pediment to the base. Oginal patinated gilt finish and mercury floated mirror glass in excellent condition. Bears the original makers lable to the rear. Charles Nosotti, originally from Milan, settled in Westminster London around 1831, and was primarily a gilder and carver, he exhibited at the London exhibition in 1862.... Measures 54" high including pediment. x 25" wide.
