A fine quality early Victorian mahogany framed double stool with reeded legs and matching arms with carved top rails. C.1840. Tapering reeded legs with decorative capitals supporting matching arms to either side, railed sides with acanthus leaf carving to the arms. Upholstered seat recovered in Abraham Moon pure wool fabric. Superb condition, very sturdy, ideal as a hall bench or at the end of a bed. Measures 40" wide x 17" deep x 29" high to top of the arms. Seat height 19".
