A fine quality Edwardian solid mahogany mantel clock with unusual peaked top and inlaid front, fully overhauled and working c.1900. The fine quality solid mahogany case with swept top forming a peak, brass carrying handle to the top. The front with flared waist sat on a moulded plinth, small polished brass bun feet below. Fruitwood strung edges and decorative inlays set to the corners. Paris made 8 day movement with platform escapement set behind a convex white porcelain enamel dial. Matching convex glass set in a polished brass bezel. Fully overhauled and working, presented in immacul...ate condition with a deep shine. Measures 6.75" wide x 3" deep x 10.25" high including handle. Stock number 39023.
