Fine Quality Victorian Mahogany Tripod Table with Carved Foot
A superb quality mid Victorian figured mahogany tripod table with carved and turned pedestal and foot c.1875. The choice cut figured solid mahogany top sat on a turned and carved pedestal. The pedestal column with carved and turned decoration plus the tripod foot with carved relief in the form of an acanthus leaf design and scroll design to the ends of the feet. Very sturdy and usable, presented in immaculate condition with no breaks or repairs and with a rich colour and deep polish. The width and depth noted reflects the span at the foot and the diameter is the table top surface.
