A fine quality George III period oak and mahogany cross banded 8 day longcase clock with engraved brass and silvered dial by William Winstanley of Wigan c.1770. The stylish well proportioned figured oak case with swan neck pediment to the hood, lacquered glass panel sat below. Turned columns either side of the glazed door with original glass, long door with shaped top to the trunk; reeded quarter columns set to the sides.
