A fine quality Victorian Chester silver mustard pot with fretted and engraved decoration, hallmarked Chester 1895. Oval form with domed lid, small finial to the centre and fretted thumb rest to aid opening. The slight bellied sides with fretted boarder and flower decoration plus complementing engraved floral swags running continuously around the lower half. Decorative cast silver handle set to the side, the hinged lid opening to reveal an original Bristol blue glass liner. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmiths George Nathan & Ridley Hayes along with clear hall...marks. Measures 3.5" long including handle x 1.75" deep x 2.5" high. Stock number 40067.
