A Fine & Small George II flame mahogany 8 Day longcase clock.c.1755. Brass and silvered dial with moon phases to the top arch. Date aperture and seconds count to the matted centre. 5 pillars to the bell striking movement. Small proportioned case with arched top case door flanked by reeded brass inlaid pilasters. Pagoda top hood with side view windows repeated with pillars. Superb colour and patina. Made by Robert Ward of London (working 1751-75). Full working order. Stands 86"high.
