A fine original oil on canvas by highly regarded Victorian artist Henry Park (1816-71) of cattle watering, signed and dated 1851. The large oil on canvas depicting cattle watering and feeding on a winters day with a farmstead and barn in the background along with a farmer carrying feed in the foreground. The subject and style typical of the artist and reminiscent of his contemporary Thomas Sydney Cooper. Henry Park trained and exhibited at the Royal Academy Schools and also exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists in Suffolk St, London. This superbly detailed work is signed and dat...ed by the artist in the bottom centre. Presented in the original top quality swept timber gilt frame, along with the retailers label for highly regarded gallery Frost & Reed. The painting and frame remain in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs, and the painting has been newly cleaned ready to hang.
