A substantial George I period oak 10 seat refectory table with planked top and superb patina c.1725. The 2" thick four planked figured oak top with cleated ends sat over a carved top rail with 'nulling' design decoration repeated along the rail and substantial turned legs to the corners. Supporting H stretcher to the base with moulding to the bottom edge and pegged joints to match the top. Up to four chairs can be seated with ease at each side along with one at each of the overlapping ends. Presented in excellent original condition with a superb rich colour and patina, very sturdy and useab...le. The top removes for ease of moving.
