A stylish George I oak box coffer with faux drawers to the front and hinged top c.1725. Planked top with deep moulded edge forming a cornice. Two faux drawers to the front with original brassware, carrying handles to the side. Sat on the original moulded plinth with original bracket feet below. The lid opening to reveal a clean interior with later removeable galvanised liner to allow use as a log or coal box. Presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 20" wide x 19" deep x 15" high. Stock number 40628.
